Brother Michael Kirgan (pictured) was one of the Monastery’s legendary figures who began organising Christmas Hampers for Adelaide’s needy. After Br. Michael’s death in 1993, a committee was formed which it is now a registered charity. The Appeal not only arranges over 200 hampers, it financially assists various charitable organisations throughout Adelaide, and overseas.
